Stools made for a exhibition in the hotspot Zona Tortona, Wednesday April 16 throug Monday April 21
During the international design fair Salone del Mobile, which takes place in Milan from April 16 until April 21, twenty-five designers from the Eindhoven region present cutting-edge Dutch design under the title Design Factory Brainport Eindhoven.

Graduation project
Buitenbeentje (Dutch for odd man out) is a research on the qualities of poly-urethane resin.
This research is the result of my fascination for everything that differs the normal: the odd man out, the freaks.
Certain appearances that are so ugly and disgusting that they become interesting.
The research is about capturing a moment of movement.

A short movie ( 2.32 minutes ) that illustrates the influence of a group on the identity of an individual.. and the other way around. It shows the stratification caused by the influence that people have on each others appearance.
This graduation project is a cooperation with Cris Bartels.
Besides stills taken from the movie the following book features the proces of making the movie and detailed pictures of the photoshoot. The book is separated into two pages because of the large number of images.

Video and photography
One who suffers from Body Dysmorphic Disorder becomes pre-occupied with a non-existent or minimal cosmetic defect and persistently seeks medical attention to fix it surgically. ‘Verlopen’ ( Dutch for both ‘making a transition’ and ‘expired’ ) is a cooperation with Cris Bartels. The project illustrates the increasing urge of seemingly being able to create real beauty, caused by the influence of Body Dysmorphic Disorder on our perception of beauty.
In preperation of the photoshoot, a fullscale painting was made by creating a number of transitions in beauty on one canvas (layer on layer).
Snapshots of this proces were edited and then beamed on a model, which has been filmed and photographed.
At the end of this proces ‘Verlopen’ resulted in a short movie and a serie of seventeen pictures ( appart from the pictures in detail ).
